The first of September marks the start of meteorological autumn and is a great point to dream about what will hopefully be a great autumn for rare birds from all around the compass. A Bonelli's Warbler is on Skomer and a Melodious Warbler was a nice start too at Whitesands today. The impending westerly weather system had an interesting gestation on the East coast of America - will that bring in something really big? It's all to play for.
