2018 STARTING POINT

It has been a relatively quiet start to 2018, the adult Ring-billed Gull has returned once more and there have been a couple of magnificent (but not so rare nowadays) Great White Egrets seen. One or more Rosy Starlings have been gracing birdfeeders around the south of the County too. By publishing the various sightings here people can make up their own minds about how many. And then there was that Snowy Owl, what a magnificent bird and one that most locals have seen thankfully. Hopefully it's a harbinger of great things ahead this year.
